Rating: Overall teen, this chappie General Audience
Story Summary: Kingsley Shacklebolt is in a tight spot; ordered to begin working for the Muggle Minister, he's slightly confused at what he's supposed to do. Hermione Granger is brought in to assist him with adjusting himself to the Muggle world. As war descends, what begins as a simple friendship becomes a point of hope, strength, and perseverance towards what is right. Takes place during HBP and beyond.
Chapter Summary: In which Kingsley and Hermione have a conversation, and Hermione has a moment of fear. And, of course, things are explained.
Warnings: eventual May/December romance, where Hermione will be 17- age of majority for wizards and witches. And Kingsley is pretty much completely unknowing of the Muggle World at this point.
